At Mindful Moments, individual counseling goes beyond just talking about challenges. Counseling encourages you to dig beneath the surface—uncovering past wounds, behaviors, and emotions that may be holding you back. Once we understand the "why" behind your patterns, we shift to "what now"—helping you move forward, align with your values, and create meaningful change.
An Integrative Approach
We blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational Theory, and Gestalt Therapy with holistic techniques to address your goals from all angles. Each method has its strengths:
- CBT helps shift unhelpful thinking patterns, enabling you to adopt healthier ways of approaching life.
- Relational Theory focuses on how your relationships, including our therapeutic one, impact healing and growth.
- Gestalt Therapy brings you into the present, helping you feel connected and empowered in your decision-making.
Holistic Healing for Mind, Body, and Spirit
Holistic counseling looks at the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. We may integrate:
- Mindfulness and Meditation to help ground you in the present and reduce anxiety.
- Somatic Practices and Breathwork to release stress and trauma stored in the body, promoting a sense of well-being.
- Restorative Yoga to help ease into relaxation and reconnect with yourself.
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself moving around the room, talking to different parts of yourself or past versions of you. I may even suggest a walk-and-talk session or simply sitting on the floor with a cup of coffee, keeping things comfortable and real.
